Hey CoWs! How's school, outreach and CCAs and CAs and tests and generally everything?! I don't know about you guys, but for me I'm pretty stretched out from all sides, and I'm guessing that most of you are probably also stressed out from school and other commitments! Especially Jessica, Bernice and Kimberly who's like heading their respective groups (Games/Publicity/Logistics) for this outreach!! Do text me if any of you need help or for any prayer requests! =) And most importantly, let's continue to keep each other in prayer!

Just to refresh your memories as well, in Sunday School we did on the book of proverbs; and we have chosen Proverbs 13, and each of us has taken a verse to mull over through the week! And they are:

Btw.. Coming up is the period of Lent! It starts on Wednesday.. do you know what Lent is? go find out more about it =) we shall talk about Lent for our next Sunday School class!

Dear CoWs!
Hey just wanna thank you all for coming down on Saturday to plan for our cell outreach event. Even though there are still many things to tie up, thing's are looking pretty good! Good job on both the games team and the publicity team; there may still be many things to work on, but at least things are building up!

For the games team, now that we have our rough story out, it's time for us to set up our stations, the manpower, their lines, and how we can twist the story to our liking =)

For the publicity team, its time for you to plan out how each week's publicity will turn out, when to get our posters and cards, video and etc. Ryan would be helping us out on Saturday evening for some shots ^^V

For both groups, I will need to meet up with each of your team leaders (Jessica and Bernice) so get back to me as soon as you can! Isaac, join us in the meetings if possible. For the rest, remember to keep the outreach event in prayer and on your part also think of how you can help your leaders in their job!

Today, the games group met up and we have come up with a concrete plan for the programme and the timeline from now till the 20th (the date of our outreach).Just to let you know, everything is only tentative, if u have anything to suggest or improve on, pls VOICE OUT:D hahah we wont kill u....
So here goes,
TIMELINE (PLEASE NOTE: this is subjected to changes!)

PUBLICITY (Publicity+logistics comm)

Week 1: Publicity-done by 19th Feb, make an announcement abt our outreach( time,date,venue....)

Week 2: Posters,postcards or possibly video-> 26th Feb
Collate the number of ppl coming, get them to get into their groups of 3,4,5

Week 3: 5 Mar--do a skit???

Week 4: 12 Mar-finalise for publicity

GAMES (Games comm)

OKAY! so this is the timeline, below is the flow of the programme

AT THE BOOTH

2.Standby list of ppl without grps so that ppl with small grps about 2/3 ppl can form bigger groups with 4/5 ppl
3.CSI package( Consists of evidence sheet-probably with sample questions for interrogating suspects...+Map of church with stations marked on it+Pencil+ Clip board)-( 1 set per grp?)

5.00pm
AT THE SANTUARY
1. Doing a briefing
-Check if they have everything they need
-tell them their objective of being here
-give them the senario...( the victim's family is desperate to know the details of how their loved one died)
-instruct how the investigation team move to their respective area A/B to visit the stations there
-show CCTV footage of the loved one last seen or died or i dont know....hahah
-Suspects and witness photos
-tell them what they need to investigate at the end: Who killed him/her and why?
-Switch of areas A/B at a fixed time( about 6.15pm)
2. Disperse them

1. BUFFER TIME: 5 min per station x 6 stations =30 min
2.TIME FOR INTERROGATING: 10 min per station x 6 stations = 60 min


7pm-BACK FOR DINNER at the common area outside library

1. 2 min per grp presentation x appox. 15 grps = 30 min

PLUS, this is the overview of the games section:
there will be stations of the crime scene, forensic lab,house, police station and blah blah
so ppl are like the "policeman" / CSI crime investigators, they have to ask these suspects or look at evidences to decipher who is the real murderer!!!!!MYSTERIOUS RIGHT???ahahah

ookok anyway,after much much discussion, we still need all your valuable inputs:

Suicide BY AMOS:

-has a girlfriend who cheated on him because he had money
-was horrible at sports
-lead to his breakdown
-jump down the HDB

a storyline could be like that... but we need you to include characters specifically: so like theres mother,father,uncle, best friend,blah blah PLUS its A MURDER STORY, elaborate on the main pts and not how gruesomely he/she died k?

Guys, its a DEADline so if you dont hand it to Wensley....hhaha i dk what will happen to you, i repeat DEADline!!!!

Long time no update

Hey All!! It's been a long while, hope everyone had a great CNY week! (and collected lots of ang pows hur hur hur ^^)

Aaanyways.On to more serious matters. Sunday School Outinggg!!! I'm so sorry, but I have to go back to church by 3.45pm on that sunday, so Sentosa is too far away. Because of that, let's go botanic gardens instead!! =) We shall go there for a time of food, fun and (if possible) some discussion on what to do for the outreach. Did you guys do your homework? Refer to the previous post if you  don't know whats your homework, and make sure u do that k!!

Ohkay! For this outing, I want everyone to participate in one way or another; you must either bring a game (frisbee, ball, whatever) to play, or bring something to eat! (drinks, sandwiches, etc), I'll be bringing monopoly deal and the groundsheets ^^V okay so the itinerary would be as follows!

11.15am- Set off from Church
12pm - Reach Botanic Gardens! (bring along your EZ link cards! we will train/bus there)
12.15-1pm - Lunch! (if there are swans, we can like feed them too =p)
1pm-3pm - Play! (and if have time we gotta discuss cell outreach o.0)
3pm- Go back church, prob reach latest 4pm

Awright, that's about it; remember to tell your parents about it, get their permission, and get back to me and tell me what you will be bringing! Welcome Once again to the coolest Blog =P

Hey CoWs!!! As you all know, yesterday we had undergone some HUMONGOUS decision making and stuff like that, not forgetting the really fun polar bear game that we had ^^V especially about only us knowing who we really are inside, and how we have to be 'clothed in white'! For those who have not been to cell yesterday, you have missed out LOADS! But no worries, I will be doing an update here; as lots of things have been discussed I shall try my best to organise them in categories..

SUNDAY SCHOOL OUTING ON 13TH FEB (NEXT NEXT SUNDAY)

Due to CNY celebrations and stuff, there is no sunday school next week, and next next week we are going to have our own sunday school outing after the community praise in sunday school. We have decided to go Sentosa/Botanic Gardens to play! cycling, picnic and water balloons =) the venue would be finalised when Dallies confirms whether she can get tickets to Sentosa (if not we will be going to B. Gardens). Bernice would bring the water bombs (no surprise there) and everyone will prepare 1 food item for the picnic!!! I will sms this out again next week, so for now think about what food item you would like to prepare. I'm assuming everyone in cell can make it for the outing, if not pls contact me asap yea?!?

CHANGING CELL TIME TO SATURDAY

After weeks and weeks of working things out, we have now tentatively set cell to be on every Saturday, 5pm till abt 7pm!! Our next cell will be on 19th Feb, because coming sat is CNY, the sat after that is some CNY dinner thing. The reason to push cell to saturdays is so that we can free up Sunday for everyone to end earlier, and also to encourage everyone to come for Synthesis. I do know there are a few CoWs who cannot make it for synthesis due to family reasons, thats why the time is set from 5pm till 7pm, and after that you can go for your family dinners and stuff =) but I do hope that you can attend synthesis once in a while! Tell your parents to come down and listen in to synthesis also ^^V again, any more worries and concerns regarding this feel free to comment or msg me.

OUTREACH IN MARCH!

This is the majorest, urgentest issue yea. As everyone knows, we are going to be doing an outreach in march. And due to all the festivities in February we really have to start the plans going yea, we are still at the planning phase and assuming we are putting the outreach on the march holidays (20th March). Therefore, we must finish the planning phase by the next cell meeting (19th Feb) which leaves us just one month to organise the whole thing. But not to fear! we can always meet up before this to discuss if needed, and for now let's pray about it, and think of what we really want to do for the outreach =) and as the theme is 'What's the diff?' that's why we have homework! The homework is this: 'Think of whats the difference between yourself and a close friend who is not Christian' so that we can understand any differences in mindset and thinking and approach outreach from the angle yea?

Alright that's all! do remember to keep each other in prayer, and a blessed Chinese New Year!!! =D

Dear CoWs!

Ok this post is just a quick update of what to expect this weekend for synthesis/ss/cell...

First and foremost, the script is finalised and is out! the link is here, download it and read through, get in tough with your character and your lines so that on sunday, you can act wif great gusto, confidence and enthusiasm!

Next up, there are some instructions by outreach chairman Isaac Cheong regarding the coming outreach, they are:

-Ru Zheng to think of any games.

-Dallies and Jessica to think of how the outreach can revolve around the topic {What's the difference?) and the theme (Mystery[Literally])

-Shi Ying to ask for advice from her dad on how to be a good treasurer.

-All activities to be reported to Isaac or Daniel

And finally...CoW cell is on duty coming Saturday for synthesis! Do come or else I'll suffer from the load of doing everything myself >.< (HINT HINT TO DALLIES AND BERNICE! I DONT CARE IF U 2 DON LIKE EACH OTHER, JUST COME DOWN!!!)

Hey guys! and girls! and Valerie and Amos!

I just wanted to say that I'm really super proud of all of you on Sunday yesterday! haha great job, and I'm so sorry I couldn't make it that day, I would really love to come down to watch you all act but I know if i did all of you would have catch my bug and get 2 free days of MC from school this week hahahaha and you guys don't want that right? I know all of you are studious kids and will not want to fall sick to go school~~

Anyways! jokes aside, I just want to share how proud I am of you all =) when I first gave you guys the assignment to do a play on Job, I had a lot of misgivings and worries at first, like.. would they bother even to do it? How are the scriptwriters doing? Can Bernice and Dallies not fight all the time..? and I thank God that despite some small problems (like Bernice and Dallies still fighting, and some issue with the script, and me not being there) everything still ran pretty smoothly! looking forward to seeing the last part of the play on the coming Sunday, and once I get all the footage I shall piece it tgt and put it on this blog =)

And also, regarding the outreach! haha I heard Isaac is like the overall organizer and things have started to get going for it! great I'm really looking forward to the plans next Sunday ^^V till then, take care of yourselves, load up on vitamins and water, and don't forget to keep praying for one another! leave comments on your prayer requests so we can pray for you =) =) =)

Welcome to our brand new blog page! haha Next cell, do tell me what stuff u want to have on this post; and how to improve on it so we can all benefit from having a cell blog =) okay anyways, this particular one would be dedicated to the prayer requests and thanksgivings for the previous week's cell ^^V

Prayers:

Bernice- Time management (tires easily)

Daniel- For the CCA (BB) to reach the requirement for the sec 1 intake

Isaac- NPCC promotion day coming up, hopefully he gets double promotion, and for him to be able to enter Math Olympiad

Wensley- For CoW members to attend Synthesis regularly (ahem ahem!!!)

Amos- For exams, to graduate with good grades

Valerie- For studies, and to manage her life well

Jessica- Time management (not enough time to do the important stuff)

Ru Zhen- Lesser Homework! (perhaps pray for wisdom to do it well also?)

Dallies- Thanksgiving that dad is safe, pray for good grades (math)

Kimberly- Time management

Other things to take note!

CoWs will be hosting the first outreach event (taking place in March) so keep it in mind? The theme for outreaches this year would generally be on what being a Christian really means!

For Synthesis, CoWs will be on duty on the 29th Feb! I hope everyone would have started attending synthesis regularly before then!!
